About the Author
JOHN I. PAYNE, JR.
John I. Payne Jr. was born and adopted in Orlando, Florida. He graduated from Jones High School before enlisting into the US Army. While in the Army, John achieved a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master's in Business Administration before retiring from the military after 20 years of honorable service. Today, John is pursuing a Doctorate of Education in Applied Sciences at the University of Miami at Coral Gables, Florida. He is a husband of more than 20 years and a father of three children.
John is a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., and a member of the American Adoption Congress (ACC), an international organization devoted to family connections. He is also a strong advocate for the adoptees' "Right to Know." The Right to Know grants adoptees access to their heritage regardless of the circumstances leading to adoption.
